He's no longer suicidal or angry. He is just obsessive about throwing up. He's

lost 7 lbs since Sunday. I had to bring him home because he wasn't a danger to

himself and they didn't know how to help him. I thought the environment there

(zoo-ish) was hampering his recovery. I am just a tad bit better off than when

I took him there (in terms of immediate danger) although he is functioning at a

much lower level. Just did some reading about second generation antipsychotics

(Seroquel, Zyprexa) and their ability to induce OCD symptoms. This would

explain some of what I see. Anyone heard of this? Waiting to hear from the

pdoc.

It's great to have Matt home, but I have a whole new set of worries now in terms

of how to proceed. Poor kid was wearing the same (now baggy) clothes for 4 days

(I asked about it every day, but Matt couldn't even sit down let alone change

clothes). First thing I did was shower him, wash his hair, and get him some

fresh clothes. He has only eaten a banana and an apple today and it's 3:30p! I

had to take him home because the next step was IV therapy for dehydration and

malnutrition and he is on Lithium! If I don't hear something soon, I'm going to

take matters into my own hands. Ugh - no resolution as yet.
