Guest guest
Monk is solving homicides, so there is killing, but it's not graphic. And there may have been a cuss word here or there, but much less than you'd experience just being out in a public place. Anything sexual is very vague, so they wouldn't pick up on it, although that rarely happens. I agree, watch a few episodes and see what you think. ) BJ > > What age group is Monk meant for? Guest guest
Hello friends, good to read all your comments, I totally agree with that idea of reevaluating happiness and the number on the scale. One thing I have been trying to do differently the past 2 weeks is be in the moment, be mindful with everything I do. If I am with my daughter that should be my focus and if i am eating something that should be my focus. I guess i realised that most of the time I rush through life...I am so busy getting ontop of things that I miss the moment which is why a lot of the time i am not even aware of whether or not I ate and if so What it is I ate! I am also trying to enjoy my meals, including those meals I may feel I shouldn't be eating. I have slowly moved from this black and white thinking of eating 'good' foods and avoiding 'bad foods'. I eat what i believe my body desires and although i still tend to overdo it sometimes I am certainly not where I was before 's podcasts. Thank you to every member of the group for being who you are and for not giving up on yourselves, the fact that you are still reading, still writing, still listening is a step in itself. Guest guest
I like the idea of being completely mindful in the moment we are in. That is so true that we try to stay so on top of things that we miss life altogether! I can really relate to you with the black and white thinking about " good " and " bad " foods. The IOWL podcasts have helped me so much...just thinking, " Yeah, I WILL overeat (and to expect it from time to time), but the biggest thing is to focus on bringing myself back to balance as quickly as possible afterwards. I mean come on, I don't think we can ever " justify " having something like ice-cream on our journey to weight loss and health, BUT who doesn't want ice-cream every once in a while! And as we are eating..to TRULY enjoy it and not feel guilty about it afterwards and then " realigning " ourselves quickly after...sounds so wonderful to me! Hope everyone has a great day. -angela > > Hello friends, good to read all your comments, I totally agree with that idea of reevaluating happiness and the number on the scale.
