Guest guest
To those who celebrate, Merry Christmas! Allie was SO EXCITED last night she laid with her hands over her eyes to try & help them stay closed. We were up with the girls by 5:30, they all had a slumber party in our bedroom floor; Dinah (5) and (10) both woke up around 5 wanting to get up. Around 5:30 we said okay, even though we had told them not until sunrise, around here at 6:30 or so. We tried to wake up Allie who looked so peacful, as soon as we said " Santa " she sprung up. Turned out she wasn't sleeping, but trying so hard to stay asleep until time, lol. For some reason this stupid clown went through the halls of school this past Friday -- sort of like having Santa come during Easter, lol. She told all the kids if they wore their pajamas inside out, spun around, wished for snow, then went to sleep, we'd have Christmas snow. Of course then I had to explain to my backward-wearing pajama 5 yr-old that she was just kidding. Now as I type at 3:30pm it's icing outside, despite there being no forecast for it here in the valley. We're still supposed to go to the in-laws down the road in a bit, I hope we'll be able to drive, still lots more presents for the girls to come, not to mention a lot more food! I've got a coconut cake cooking in the oven right now. While cooking it I realized when I made our Christmas breakfast I forgot to make eggs!!! Two dozen in the fridge, no one said a word, I don't guess they were missed. Well, that's about all of my meaningless info-sharing. I hope everyone else has a wonderful day. I love Christmas Day.
