I am not sure how the SIOS operates, but I am sure that you will need a

referral from your gp. When you make your appointment, I am sure they

will fill you in.

SIOS are really good, its a team of doctors, a nurse, dietician and

psycholgist. I am going through them and i am due to be banded in 19

days! (woo hoo!!)My doctor is Craig . You do need a referral

from your GP and your first Doctors appointment is Bulk billed if you

have attended the information evening. Its a good Info evening and

worthwhile attending.

IT doesn't take long for an appointment, 2-3 weeks. The reason my

banding is being done almost a month after the appointment is because

they are closed for 3 weeks over xmas and new year.
