its to complicated to get all into an e mail

best to find a psychiatrist

briefly, she may respond to an increase to 200 or even 250. at least we know she

tolerates this medicine well.

if you switch usually we do a cross titration lowering one and stepping up

another at the same time over a month or more

but I also suggest you find a CBT specialist as it can be extremely effective

doctor last week said to go up to 200 mg because her ocd is still terrible. She

has unwanted thoughts and repeats the same things to me and asks the same

questions all day(a 15 minute break in between repeating is really good for

her). She does not see a psychologist or psychiatrist currently. The last

psychologist talked to her only but did nothing to address the ocd. She is also

on 30 mg amitryptylline daily for migraine prevention.

zoloft has done all it is going to do. it did drop the rage outbursts down

considerably as far as their duration but thoughts are still constant. My

question is this, Would you suggest switching medicine and what is the normal

weaning and beginning time if you switch from one ssri to another one? My

daughter's family doctor writes her prescriptions, so I would like to have a

psychiatrists advice on switching and decreasing time and possible other med to

try.
