Guest guest
Hey Barbara! I've been thinking about and hoping and prayin all is well. I was going to see if I could " find " you today and there you are! I've only been " back " a short time....hope your flare goes away and you find some peace! If you have seen my post, you know about my pre-op today and hip replacement one week from today.....my wife said she will be surprised if my surgeon doesn't put me in hospital today.....either way, i'm just ready for the pain to go away.....it has gotten hideous! Another thing: my wife noticed this morning that my elbows have " fallen " and I have the beginnings of decubs. on both! Yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! So, my daughter (17 yo. and a God send throughout this ordeal) is sitting beside me waiting to wrap both my elbows for padding. Oh well, are we having fun yet? Thanks to all for your prayers! Will keep you posted. Tis good to be writing to you and reading your posts again. God Bless! Larry Barbara Gardner wrote: Dear Stilligans; We are moved and functional for now. My mother made it through quintuple bypass and her blood sugars are regulating. I've made sure she is checking her blood sugar several times a day and is no longer missing doses of medication. And, she's taking daily walks of 4 blocks daily. I've been having a bad flare since moving, but those of you who know my husband know that I'm not allowed to do very much. I do miss my friends here, though. Sharon, I want to thank you, sincerely, for the card you send after my mother's heart attack. It was so heartwarming. Since the card said " & family, " after my mother was home, I took it to her house, showed it to her, and put it on her dresser. It made her cry! I told her you have always been a very caring person. Thank you to the other members who wrote to ask about my mother's welfare, and mine. Everyone's thoughtfulness is truly appreciated. Welcome to all the new people in the group! Those of you who do not know me will soon. This group and the people who belong are close to my heart. I'm an 18 year survivor of this disease.
