Guest guest
When was the reading taken? Was it after a meal? If so, how long? If it was a fasting reading, it is a tad high. Normal fasting reading is considered to be 70-99. A person with fasting readings of 105 might have pre-diabetes. Give me more information, and I'll be able to tell you more. I've had type 2 diabetes for a number of years and have educated myself about it. Guest guest
I had my pancreas removed and an islet cell transplant to help prevent diabetes. I have done well, but have to monitor my blood sugar daily. I had a slightly impaired glucose as my fasting is usually around 115. Having said that, while we do look at my blood glucose reading, the most important reading of how your blood sugar is doing is with a HbA1c (Hemaglobin A1c). As your MD to do this blood test for you. This test will give an average reading of your sugars over a three month period. > > > What does a high glucose blood reading mean? > > 105? > > Thanks, > > Pris > > > > >
