Guest guest
Hi , I have always had problems with my vision. When I was 34 I saw an eye Specialist. I encourage everyone to do this if they haven't already. It may prevent problems down the road. Take Care and I hope you are having low pain days. , Oregon > > I recently have noticed my vision not being what it used to be. Things are > blurry and I have to squint a lot more. In my case I developed cataracts in both eyes. Once I had one removed I was able to see very clearly and the colors were incredible. In addition many of the medications we take do cause blurry vision. Definitely tell your doctor and let us know what he says. There could also be another underlying medical cause. Good luck. Much love, Terry
Guest guest
Hey ; YES....I have noticed a marked decrease of vision in both eyes but mostly in the right. I suffer inflammation and resultant pressure every day...sometimes moreso than others. I need to investigate this....I am much afraid of going blind.....but, I have enough dealing with the hips now. Funny, but I could cry just writing about the fear of blindness. Hope and pray your eyes improve.....in-fact, let's please just pray one for another! God Bless You , Sister! In His Name! Guest guest
Cataracts are an established side effect of Prednisone usage. I have been on Pred for about 6 years, and I have cataracts developing in both eyes. Cannon JCannon@... Front Royal, VA, USA
Guest guest
To everyone about my eyes. I saw the doctor today and I am (out of nowhere) a little farsighted and have anistagmus. I will use my new glasses, should be arriving Thursday, as needed and I think it will help. No real concers at all. I can only think that they are getting weaker along with everything else that is in or of my body. Take care all! I wish better days and hugs to all! Guest guest
Cataracts and glaucoma are established side effects of prednisone. I've had the disease for 18 years and have been on doses up to 80 mgs/day for extended periods of time. I was on prednisone for over 10 years in the beginning of the disease. I'm not on it now, but do get occasional injections of Kenalog in the hip when my Rheumatologist thinks I'm flaring. It raises my blood pressure, too. It can cause diabetes, and many other things, too. Please everyone, ask questions or be well educated on your medications. It is so important. It seems like a lot of information, but it may save your life or someone else's someday! I've had surgery to remove the cataracts in both eyes and had lens implants. As for the glaucoma, there is a laser treatment, but it is only good for about 6 months then it needs to be done again. I see no point in that, personally, so I just use the drops in my eyes every night and keep the pressure at a good level. Hopefully this is helpful to everyone! Guest guest
I did not know about the cataracts and glaucoma from the Prednisone. Thank you Barbara for that info. I'm on and off the Pred every so often. The highest amount I've ever been on was 40 mg and I was bouncing off the walls literally. I had to decrease to 20 in a hurry. You've been very helpful. Take care. Diane/Dallas
