Our psych recommended Cranial Electric Stimulation (CES)

I took my 7yr old in for her behavior therapy today with our wonderful

psychologist.. she is doing Interactive Metronome twice a week with her right

now.  We've been seeing this therapist for over a year now and she is great! 

While there, I asked her about exposure therapy for my older daughter (13) with

OCD.  She told me that she actually recommends CES instead of exposure therapy..

She said she had a guy who had tried everything, including exposure therapy, and

the only thing that helped him was CES.  I was intrigued!  So we are going to

try this next week while we are there and see how she feels afterward.. If she

feels okay (relaxed, not too light-headed, etc.) then we will continue with it. 

The dr. also mentioned that you can buy one for home use (with a prescription)

and we can all use it.. She said she owns two different brands.. The Alpha Stim

and the CES Ultra.  My daughter's diagnoses are OCD, Tourette's, mild

Asperger's.. So I will let you all know how it goes.. I'm excited!!
