I got denied into Univerity of TN's nursing program last year. No

biggy, I knew it was stiff competition. In a nutshell, they were

counting my GPA from 1989, which was my drunken 1.35 -- they didn't

consider my accounting degree or 3.7 GPA when I returned to another

college two years prior. Well, I decided to email the dean and ask if

they really consider life experiences and other such stuff they list.

I got a response back that they remembered me but felt that a

community college might be more appropriate consider my

" circumstances. " I'm trying to find out what that means, but we can

all pretty well figure it out. I've got a kid with autism so I'm not

good enough.

I'm trying to get it laid out definitively...then I'm gonna probably

be asking for a write-in/call-in for who ever is game.
