Guest guest
Hello everyone I am 10 days post op now. I have spent the last week at home and oddly I have spent it watching cooking shows. I think it is the longing for chewable tasty food that is keeping me hooked. I am hoping that I learn to both cook and eat healthy varied food once I get back to normal eating. I called the nurse yesterday as my steristrips and waterproof patches werre still stuck on hard from the hospital and all the paperwork stated that they would fall off within the week. She was amazed they were still stuck on but said all sounded fine. As they were rather ugly and had dried blood in them I decided to sit doen last night and trim them back ..... which I finished this morning and now they have all come off and the wounds are healing lovely. There is one area that is very swollen and hard (the larger cut just abve my belly button) is this where the port is? I can't wait to get to the mushies stage .... If I make a shepherds pie do I need to blitz it up or just mush it with a fork? I will keep you all up to date ... I am back with my doctor on tuesday for 1st follow up and will let you know what he says.
