Hi ,

I also have Hashimoto's and have been on levoxyl for three or four

years for it. I know what you mean about still's and thyroid

symptoms overlapping, and as I think back to when my thyroid issues

started, I'm wondering if I wasn't experiencing the first signs of

still's.

Have you seen the reality series on Bravo called " Top Chef " ? The

reason I ask is because one of the contestants, Beaman, is

a " natural nutritionist " who has published a book on treating her

hypothyroidism with good eating and exercise. Her basic philosophy

is just sound nutritional sense--eat lots of veggies and fiber,

organic whenever possible, stay away from fried stuff and too much

red meat, ditch the sugar and processed carbs, drink water. She

also does a lot of yoga, which I'd love to be able to do again if I

ever get my joints back enough to be able to get up and down off

that mat!

I don't know/doubt if eating healthier will " cure " either disease,

but it certainly can't hurt, eh?
