Guest guest
Wednesday July 4, 2007 An Ode To My 30th Year By: Tara Kimberley Torme In my life I’ve done so much Published a book, written poetry, a play and the such 30 years have gone by fast But will my accomplishments really last? Elementary school was mixed with good and bad I wondered if for me there was anything to be had High school in two different provinces and cities Being bullied, beaten up and tons of baby kitties College and University I sought out my real dreams Only to find out of mere broken moonbeams Diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome six years ago Therapy, job programs, new dreams, goals, old dreams a no go Past friendships reevaluated, broken off forever New friendships, paths into a brand new endeavor Meeting people online from all over the world Australia, USA, England, all uncurled Got into local paper, have A.S.S. group meets A DVD called “Silent Meow” and personal retreats Traveling with my English pen pal All over Vancouver, Whistler, The Rockies et al. A new phase in my life now – where will that lead to? In publishing, writing, other ventures anew? I strive to keep my needlework afresh, The Embroidery Guild is a part of my flesh Other goals I have include marriage and kids Perhaps being discovered as the next poetry whiz! My A.S.S. group I intend to run again for next year And have a fresh blood of people and brand new mental gear My boyfriend mistake will never happen again People like “Sweet Tim” just cause me too much pain! What else can I say but this: My poetry writing is back – I’m a poetry whiz! I’m saving up now for a bright new future for tomorrow I’m going to be more humble – in heart with much less sorrow. My true personality comes out with patience and time Just get to know me – I taste better than a lemon or a lime I’m as loyal – as loyal as can be You being my friend will discover the real and true me Yes, my future looks bright – as bright as can be! Don’t you know nothing will get the better of me? " Long before I grew up, my teddy bear taught me what love really meant-being there when you're needed. " -Jim American writer " the brand-new teddy on my shelf will always be a stranger. But the tattered bear I hold so tight will be my friend forever. " -Vande Zande-American writer " My teddy! He was filled out with stuff of dreams. " -Heidi Mair American writer " We all live in suspense, from day to day, from hour to hour; in other words, we are the hero of our own story. " - McCarthy, b. 1912 American writer " I think that wherever your journey takes you, there are new gods waiting there, with divine patience-and laughter. " - M. Watkins, b. 1945 American writer " A little of what you fancy does you good. " -Marie Lloyd (1870-1922) English entertainer ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Get the free Yahoo! toolbar and rest assured with the added security of spyware protection. http://new.toolbar.yahoo.com/toolbar/features/norton/index.php
