Medication for OCD and ADD

I am hoping someone can help me.  My husband and I believe our son (age 13) has

ADD in addition to OCD.   I have read that children who have the  Focused ADD

type can have obsessive behavior.  Even though he makes the honor roll at

school, I know it's because of the time my husband and I have to spend with him

when he does his homework. Our afternoons are rarely pleasant as he often fights

with us.  He is not a behavior problem at school.  He has a core group of nice

friends and finds enjoyment in playing on a basketball team.  He has always been

quirky, but it's always been at home that we've noticed his odd behavior.

Recently he speaks excessively and obsessively about wanting nice things for the

house. My husband and I put a limit on how many questions he can ask.  He

worries about money everyday, yells at us if he thinks anyone is wasting water,

forgetting to turn off the lights, etc.  We have  reassured him that he doesn't

need to worry about money.  He also moves things (papers, books etc.) off

tables. He hates seeing clutter around the house.  He is currently away at

outdoor ed. camp with his school this week and we are experiencing a much needed

break from the stress of OCD and having to " walk on eggshells " .    He is seeing

a therapist who is monitoring his OCD and CBT/ERP.  We are also seeing a

psychiatrist who recently gave us a prescription for Prozac.  We will begin to

give him the Prozac when he returns on Friday.   In two weeks we will have a

conference with his teacher to see if he is noticing a focusing issue.  I know

each person is different in how they react to medication(s).  I would like to

hear the experience of anyone who has giving their child a SSRI medication with

a stimulant such as Ritalin.

Thank you for any help you can give me.
