Guest guest
Group, My 6 year old dd with OCD has always worried about being late for things. She used to be ready to go somewhere 2 hours before we had to be there and then question me for 2 hours if we were going to be late. On Tuesday, I couldn't get her up for school. Finally, 30 minutes late, she hopped into the shower because she hadn't gotten her bath the night before. She took a 20 minute shower! While I was doing her hair (we were supposed to leave for school in 15-20 minutes and she still hadn't eaten bkfst), she said to me, " you know Mom, remember when I used to worry about being late all the time? I don't worry about being late anymore. " LOL...OBVIOUSLY...at that point I was wishing she would be a little more worried about being late! (We fickle parents!) Blessings from cold, snowy, N.D. Guest guest
Sounds like she shifted from and OCD thing to a teen attitude thing, even though she is only 6. lol Fickle indeed! We just can't figure out what we want, huh. lol Hugs, BJ > > Group, > My 6 year old dd with OCD has always worried about being late for things.
