Guest guest
For those of you who believe in it, please send up prayers for my Mother-in-Law... she has colon cancer. They removed the tumor on Thursday and it was the size of a softball. They also biopsied her liver and lymph nodes (she has multiple spots on her liver). We are still awaiting a prognosis. What makes this even more difficult is that we are in Kentucky and she's in California. My husband will probably be flying out to Sacramento on Monday to be with her and I will stay here a while longer until we know more. I am afraid for him to go alone b/c if he has one of his " spells " , my MIL and I are the only ones that know what to do. My MIL told me before she had surgery to " take care of myself " b/c she knows stress brings on the Still's, but I think that's inevitable at this point. I haven't felt well for about 2 months anyway, so it may just rear it's ugly dragon head at any moment. If it does, I'll deal with it. Thanks to this whole group for support and comfort... that's worth so much to me! Guest guest
Gail, Both you and your mother-in-law will be in my prayers. I pray for her heath, and I pray for your health to hold out so that you can be there to support the family who needs you so much. Hang in there and try to take good care of yourself so you don't flare...it seems your mother-in-law gives good advice. Guest guest
*Gail,* *You are in my prayers along with your mother-in-law. Please listen to your MIL and take care of yourself so you can be there for your family. The crown of wisdom comes with the greying of hair, and it sounds like she is a very wise and loving person.* *Even though we cannot control what events happen in our lives, we can find strength in prayer and truly find faith strengthening power from our Creator in times of stress. I hope you find this needed strength and power in your faith. The Creator can truly be a tower of strength for us and a refuge when we are faced with such trials.* *Keeping you in thought and prayer...* ** *, Oregon* > > For those of you who believe in it, please send up prayers for my > Mother-in-Law... she has colon cancer. Guest guest
Gail, Your Family is in my prayers. Just a positive note for you. My grandmother was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 75. They removed a big tumor from her too. And she is still here with us at age 84. Take Care, Carey xo
Guest guest
Gail, My thoughts are with you and your friends family during this sad time. OT Prayers needed Please pray for good friends of ours who were notified yesterday that their 22 yr old son was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq. He was a Marine and two others were killed with him. Just a week and a half ago, another friend of ours 16 yr old son was killed in a ATV accident. We are totally devastated by these tragedies and desire your prayers for the families and us.
