Guest guest
Hi Malayvanh, I know exactly how you feel about this ... particularly now. A lot of medications can cause bad breath. If you have a problem with your sinuses, it may be the problem. Another problem that can be caused by prednisone (oral or inhaled) or by taking antibiotics is oral thrush. Usually your mouth feels yucky, you may or may not have sores in the mouth, and your tongue and oral mucous membranes may be coated in white. It is basically a yeast infection. Some doctors like it to be treated naturally with Acidophilus and/or yogurt. They contain probiotics. Antibiotics often kill more than the targeted bacteria, they kill the natural flora that should be in the mouth. Today I began a medication called Nystatin, which is in liquid form. As long as your dentist feels everything is good there, talk to your doctor. Good luck, sweetie!
