My son started to show signs of ocd mid september. Actually, just the obsessive

thoughts part. Within a week he was on 5mg of prozac and antibiotics because he

an elevated titer although tested negative for strep with the throat test.

After 2 weeks he got better. Then about ten days ago he had the flu shoot and

his symptoms immediately returned. Actually, he started to show ocd symptoms 2

hours after the flu shot. His prozac was then gradually increased to 15mg and

the psychiatrist but him back on antibiotics for 5 days and he got better. We

went to see Dr. B in Connecticut this week and he said sounds like pandas and

that we should have never given him the flu shot. However, he has asthma so I

have always given it to him. Anyway, Dr. B said to put him on antibiotics for

a month, which I have started. So, yesterday he went to the psychologist that

he has been seeing and she said she has never seen ocd present this way and she

said that he nowhe has no symptoms and she is not sure if classic cbt is the way

to go. In the mean time my husband wants a second opinion so I contacted the Mt

Siani ocd center of excellence. However, it is 2000 for an evaluation and he

shows no symptoms of ocd now. Since the ocd might return should I go anyway.

Not sure what to do. Also, curious has anyone been to Dr. B and he has told you

that your child does not have Pandas.
