Thanks for your well wishes. My son does not have AS, but does have some

autistic traits. The seroquel and melatonin that we give him helps him sleep,

but when he's breaking down, sleep is defintiely an issue as he wakes in the

middle of the night to pace the floors. It's so sad to see him like that. He

says that sleeping is his favorite part of the day because it's the only time he

isn't nervous. He's not irritable or agitated what so ever and this has always

been my concern...that even if he does have some affective disorder, his anxiety

disorder is his primary and most troubling symptom and I think it drives his

moods. This is why my primary focus has been to work on his anxiety in hopes

that it will prevent any affective trigger. I wish things were more simple, it

would be so much easier to manage. I'm crossing my fingers for a better day

today.
