Ann, I just wanted you to know that I understand how you feel. It's easy to get

frustrated and angry, defensive, even, over such a personal issue. I, myself,

am a Christian, but value other's beliefs as theirs.

I have been with this group for a year and a half and have never been able to

attend a Conference. Money is a big issue, but wouldn't be if it were closer to

me (I live in Kentucky). Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead in Vegas and was

very pleased when it was discussed last year about a Conference out here on the

East coast. Unfortunately, that didn't work out either. But, I am still a

member here and get a lot out of belonging to it.

Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to attend a conference and meet others with

this disease and reap the benefits of education from the speakers, but I have

just resigned myself to the fact that that can't happen yet. I'm so sorry you

were offended and hurt, please know that we care about you. I don't know the

whole story, but I'm sure there could have been some factors involved that we

are not aware of.

Perhaps someday our group will be resilient enough to hold meetings all over,

to accomodate us all, but for now, I guess that's impossible. I just wanted you

to know that I do understand what you are feeling, b/c I am a person who puts

God first in my life.

Maybe what I've said here didn't help much, but my hope is that we can all

stick together, there are just too few of us!!!
