Guest guest
I am a homeschooling parent, and have been for many years. I tried, Connections academy, which i liked OK, It is just a lot of work. But you get teacher back up, a free computer, and free curriculum. Where i lived, we even got partial reimbursment for internet service. I stopped because my kids were not happy with the program. It is really intense, and a lot of work. I know many families that LOVE it. It is supposed to be more laid back than the k-12 program from what i have heard from parents that have tried both. Good luck > > I am looking for an online program for homeschooling my child. It is really hard for her. It is impossible for me to homeschool her, but she does listen a bit better to other people. I currently have her enrolled in Sylvan Tutoring, but it's too expensive. It there some kind of computer program that has a real person talking on the other end to the child? Thanks >
Guest guest
You may be able to school at home using K12 or Connections Academy for free. They're paid for, in some states with our tax dollars. Each program has online demos and teacher guidance. I have friends who use K12 and like it quite well. See the links below for more info. http://www.k12.com/ http://www.connectionsacademy.com/home.aspx Best of luck, > > I am looking for an online program for homeschooling my child. Guest guest
I can not have anything that is a lot of work or difficult. She has many learning disabilities and lots of anxiety. Just something with not much pressure, but something where she gets " some " education. > I am a homeschooling parent, and have been for many years. Guest guest
Anyone can purchase K12 to use at home, but some states offer it free for residents. One concern for using K12 as a charter school option is that they are often very strict on accomplishing a specific amount of work each day. That could be difficult in your situation. If you are already as legally filed homeschooler and just looking for a curriculum option, time4learning might work. It is on-line and covers most subjects for K-6. It is animated, not live, but it might be worth a try. > > I was looking into some of these online schools. They are not in my state, but if they are online, why would it matte? Wouldn't anyone from any state be able to get online and take advantage of say, the K-2 program??? Am I missing something?
Guest guest
YOur right. Any kind of pressure is not good for my girl. I tried time4learning and that was confusing for her too. She needs to be with a real live person, or at least a live person on a web cam. > Anyone can purchase K12 to use at home, but some states offer it free for residents.
