Guest guest
Thanks Joe, I'm going to try to find a doc to see next week and at least get some basic tests done. You are describing exactly what I feel, dull and constant. And like I said, with no appendix or gallbladder, well, doesn't leave a lot non-vital organs for me to be messing with! Thanks for your response, it will help me guide me in telling the doc what I want to ask to have done. > > Hey ... > > I wanted to let you know that liver inflammation was what started me on my road to a diagnosis of Stills. Along the way I have had four separate liver biopsies and my gall bladder removed. My biopsies show " perportal inflammation " or Stage 2 of 4 stages of disease severity. I stumped gastroenterologist and hepatologist because my blood work would never show any indication of autoimmune markers (classic Stills), but would have extemely high liver enzymes. > > Not to scare, but Stills is a cross of rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, and lupus-like symptoms do attack internal organs. I have had problems with my liver and spleen plus pleurisy and pericarditis all thanks to Stills. Simple bloodwork (called liver function tests, or LFT) will tell you and your doctor if the liver is involved. > > BTW, I have pretty consistent right upper quadrant (RUQ) pain. It's like you described, not sharp and intensed, rather dull and constant. Good luck and write if I can help you any further. > > Take care, > Joe >
