Guest guest
Hey keep your head up girl! I am new in this group but I have seen the pain that it causes loved ones. He probably would not be anywhere else right now and believes that no one else can do as good a job taking care of both of you as he can. He loves you and as much as it pains him to see both of you sick, he is not going anywhere. Make the best of it for everyone, go out and spend some time with him at the park or doing something you both enjoy. Make the best of the time everyone has left. The MRI showed evidence of avascular necrosis most likely from steroid use. It has been pretty painful. My brother , who was in the hospital last year with a temp of 109.2, is declining fast. is living with me and is total care. He is on tubefeedings and has many breakdowns. Over the past week he has run temp between 101- almost 103. He is running temps even after being on antibiotics for a while. When the body starts to shut down you run temps. is on hospice and has not been responsive over the past few days. I think it is because he has become so weak. It breakes my heart to see him suffer and I wish I could trade places with him. I am also going to NIH on October 24,2006 to be part of a clinical study. My doctors felt I should go to NIH because of my reactions to TNF drugs and prednisone. I am not on any meds like remicade,MTX or prednisone. It has been rough being off those meds but it is better for my body. I have alot of pain but have no time to take care of myself. I went to the doctors yesterday because I started running a fever and I fund out I have pneumonia. My doctor laughed at me because I did not complain to her. I am taking pain meds eventhough I am uncomfortable but they help. I am on 2 antibiotics and I hope they cure the pneumonia soon. Please keep my Dad in your prayers.. It has been so hard on my Dad to see two kids sick let alone one that is dying. My Dad has taken care off my brother since he was diagnosed 12 years ago. I try to be supportive but I am weak to so I do not think I am any help to my Dad. Thanks for letting me vent.. I hope all Stilligans have pain free days... Guest guest
Home tomorrow, with lots of red dirt in my shoes and great memories. Did a great dinner last night out between the Olgas and the Rock... breathtaking. They give you a great story telling about the stars and what they meant to the Aboriginals and the explorers. Saw four shooting stars in the few hours we were there. Came back to the hotel and continued partying until the wee small hours with a great group of Americans and Sydney siders. Had a very sore head this morning for our Rock & Roll Harley ride around the rock... another great thing to do, bit chilly but fabulous. Fly in tomorrow arvo. Bit of a bad news... Liam got king hit by a thug yesterday afternoon whilst out with his head doctor for a group game of rugby - he went to the loo and there was an unknown kid there with some mates and they whacked him in the face... thinks his nose is broken, but I am sure it will be fine. That child will be the end of me I think somedays. Hope that you are all well... my band has been fairly well behaved, not brilliant... especially trying to get enough liquid in up north where it was in the mid 30's and a lot of hiking involved. Came a bit undone with some caesar salad yesterday, other than that, its been a good bandit. But why is it that sometimes a cold yummy cocktail can give you grief? The mystery of the band continues. Catch you all tomorrow evening. Mel
