Addiction vs. Dependence PLEASE READ

Hello everyone,

There is a huge difference between being dependent upon a drug and being a

drug addict. Drug addicts will do very not nice things to get their drugs,

if in doubt please read Oprahs book pick " A Million Little Pieces. " This is

a true account of one addicts life and his journey thru treatment. A real

eye opener, and if anyone thinks addiction is cute or fun to flirt with,

this will change your mind.

I come from a family of addicts and my own father has stolen from me due to

addiction. I am dependent on morphine and am not about to steal or lie to

get more. My doctor gives me what I need but if I tried to stop tomorrow

without weaning I would become sick as my body is dependent on it.

Dear Lynn,

I think most of us would love to be able to stop taking all of our

meds if we could. I hate taking meds!

That is so true. I would love to toss them all in the can. My list of

drugs is so darn long it is disgusting!!
