NIMH article/ OCD reversed?

This was a fascinating article. Thanks for posting it. I talked to my doctor

about PANDAS because our son's OCD came on fairly suddenly. However, we didn't

know about PANDAS until he had been treated with traditional methods for over 2

years. Our doctor didn't want to proceed with PANDAS testing or treatment

because he said it wouldn't do any good after this long. He said the damage

would have been done already to the brain if it was PANDAS. Do you have to catch

PANDAS right away? Could we have success treating OCD after this long (5 yrs

since diagnosis). Also, if it were PANDAS, would he be responding so well to

SSRIs?
