Guest guest
My 14 yr old daughter who has intrusive thought OCD has been extremely violent the past few days. She wants just to be left alone to lay in bed or watch TV. When I try to get her to do something she throws things at me, kicks me and lunges at me, digging her nails into my arms. She tells me she can't fight her OCD anymore it's too strong and she just wants to give up. I know she is exhausted and I see the pain on her face. We just dropped her prozac down 5 mg and I am wondering if this is contributing to the aggressive behavior and depression. I am looking for intensive outpatient EX/RP therapy in NJ. Have been to so many different doctors, UPenn, Columbia, , she doesn't connect with anyone. She has a terrible attitude, very defiant and will not do her exposures. Can someone advise on violent behavior and/or non-compliance with exposures? Her OCD is consuming her but I really don't want to put her back in a hospital. Thanks, Tresse
