Quirky behavior : Normal or OCD related?

I was wondering if any of you have experienced or know whether or not the

following things are normal 9 year old girl behaviors or maybe related to her

possible OCD/Aspergers? (Not officially diagnosed yet)

-Jumping. She always jumps up and down almost uncontrolably when she is even the

tiniest bit excited or happy about something. She has knocked several expensive

glass items off of shelves and even cut herself once, but still jumps! (Yes, we

moved all our expensive glass items down to salvage what is left and so no one

else gets hurt!)

-Noises. She is constantly making loud obnoxious noises. I know when she is

going down the hall towards her bedroom she does it because she saw an episode

of Ghost Hunters and is now afraid we have ghosts in out house. But there are

many other times, where if she is not super involved in something she is making

some kind of loud annoying noise.

-Excessive hugging. We are attentive parents who spend a lot of time with our

kids, but there are days where she will not stop hugging us, even whe we are

trying to eat! I have heard some of you on here talk about reassurance issues

with your kids always asking if you love them, so maybe this falls into that

same category, but she has always seemed to have an issue with understanding and

respecting peoples personal space. I figured she would have outgrown it by now,

but no. And when certain people, like my dad come over, she is all over him,

without taking any clues about backing off or getting out of his face. She loves

shoving things in peoples faces! I used to blame myself for not being a more

cuddly mom, but I've improved greatly on that and still.....

I know there are other things I just can't think of right now. I hate feeling so

constantly annoyed by her! Since I've begun to realize these things may be

related to whatever she has going on, my annoyance level with it has decreased.

Any insight on any of these? Thanks everyone!

Heidi
