Yes, I'm talking about Melatonin. Personally, I think Benadryl is a safer,

first choice, for helping to sleep. Not that it is problem free, but more is

known about it.

Plus, Melatonin falls under the category of supplements, so is unregulated by

the FDA. Therefore the strength and purity can vary.

There are concerns about children taking Melatonin and what affect it has on

their hormones.

There are also concerns that it might contribute to seizures.

But, for us, the Benadryl (after years of working) stopped working. So, we opted

to try Melatonin. Because not sleeping is not a good thing either. It has

worked for our son, but he only takes it as needed now, instead of daily.

Not trying to scare anyone, but it's best to be informed. And it is always best

to have the doctor on board too.
