Thank you, for your prayers, for the lighting of the candle, and for

your support. I just wish I could stop crying <sigh>

His strength, and my faith definately help.

Thank you for lighting a candle...if you only knew what that represented

for Joe. One of the many subjects we talked about just days before his

death is the Eternity Candle I have at my mom and dad's graves and how

he bought a similar candle for his grandma - whom he adored. He told me

how special these candles were to him, and how beautiful they were.

You have touched a part of my heart where Joe still lives and I thank

you for that.

I am thankful that the testimony of Joe's life here on earth was a

reminder to you of the many gifts and purposes we have here.

Today I took a gift to my Aunt for her birthday, and she and my Uncle

were struggling. All the business of taking care of arrangements was

done, and all the many supporters went home. The quiet was almost

deafening to them. I am grateful beyond words to be at their house

today and share in their day, and at the same time, it still is so very

sad.

Again, Thank you!

I would think, moving to another state, your dad would have to take a

test to be licensed in that state. Or was your mom referring to still

having your dad's license from New York? I would definately go along to

the Department of Motor Vehicles, on 'test' day and clue them in. Maybe

then it would be in writing. And, as you requested, I will keep you,

your mom and dad, and your family in my prayers. There is power in

prayer and sometimes these things have a way of working themselves out.

Sending comforting hugs your way~

After reading your post to Courage, concerning the bracelets and quilts,

I couldn't just set here and not comment. I am so very impressed by

your heart...the caring and compassion you have shown for so many

people. You have re-directed negative anger and put it to a positive

use giving to others who were suffering. My heart aches for you as you

relive the memories of 9/11. I can only imagine, living so many miles

away, what you must have/and still are going through. I am comforted by

your faith, and knowing that, I know you will continue to be a survivor.

Today, I will say extra prayers for you, all day, that God continue to

use you as one of His very important messengers.

Love and hugs-

In regards to wondering if our loved ones know more than we think they

do...a couple years ago, when my dad was able to talk a little, he would

stand in his room at the NH, look into the mirror, grab the vanity and

shout " Why me, Why me?!! " Each time I heard this, it took every ounce

of strength I had to tell my dad I didn't know why him, or why me, but

that we were in this 'til the end'. It still breaks my heart thinking

of the fear and anger my dad had toward his life with LBD. Even though

his passing is lonely for me, I know he is spared the emotional roller

coaster that LBD was taking him on.

Now, my eyes have a leak...

Thinking of you today.

Thank you for sharing your story of living with epilepsy. I have a day

job with Aramark, and we are the caterers for Pioneer/Dupont. A gal

named Ann worked with us for a while. She was 25ish, and was very open

that she had epilepsy. One day, it was only she and I in the kitchen

and she had one of her grand mall seizures. There were so many things

she could have hurt herself on...a tile floor, metal cupboards, heavy

plastic carts...so I held on to her for the 15-20 minutes it took to get

through the seizure. She was so stiff that I couldn't lay her down so

we stood, I held her and watched to make sure she was fine. When she

started to loosen, someone else came into the kitchen so I asked to call

for help. Ann was still not real coherent so an ambulance was called

and she was taken to the hospital. The next day she hugged me, with

tears, thanking me for being there for her. I told her I would do it

again, in a heartbeat. Also, my oldest nephew (will be 12 July 4th) had

a seizure when he was just a little guy, maybe 2 or 3 yrs old. My

brother and SIL had no idea, at the time, what was happening, and my

brother ended up doing CPR on his son. After testing, it was discovered

he was having petit mall seizures, something he may grow out of. He

still takes medication, and my brother and I have talked that they may

take him off the med. but are somewhat scared, since he is doing so much

better...don't know if he is/has grown out of the seizures or the med.

is continuing to help. I guess I feel there is no other real reason we

are all here on earth, than to help others, through whatever struggles

and/or situations life deals us. I am so glad to know that you have

found some angels in your life, to comfort, console, and care about you.

Sounds like the one EMT was a perfect example of that. :-))

Thinking of you today, and wishing I could reach through here and give

you a hug!
