I was just going to ask the same thing about the lupus . That can take

a long time to get a diagnosis, especially if the ANA levels are all over the

place.

The sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein are very general tests which

indicate the presence of inflammation somewhere in the body. You should

definitely be evaluated by a rheumatologist. In light of your eye symptoms,

Sjogren's Syndrome is certainly a possibility your doctor should consider.

Antinuclear antibody titer....it's the primary diagnostic criterion

for lupus diagnosis. I'm assuming that if your test was negative, it

was an ANA test of less than 1:40

I do have abnormal sed rate & a few others, along with joint pain.

Since I have psoriasis we came to a thought of psoriatic arthritis.

Seems to me a lot of these disorders are from the same root,

over-inflammation from our environment. Going all-natural organic,

lots of fresh fruits & veggies helps me a lot.

And then if you're like me, it's elevated one time, not the next. <sigh>

Do you have cognitive issues, executive functioning problems too? I find

that the hardest to deal with cause so many times I feel like I look

" stupid " & embarassing.

I'm not sure what you mean by feeling like you look stupid. I have

lost a lot of ability to write with my left hand, I've been left

handed but this past semester began writing with my right. I also

started having seizures last summer & my left eye began drooping, but

stopped drooping when I went on the antileptics. I'm also having a big

problem with short-term to long-term memory, organic chem has been a

nightmare trying to memorize all the different molecules. I think I

may have failed it. That said, I don't know if all the memory issues

are condition/drug related or just getting older, I'm nearly 36.
