Guest guest
Hey there everyone. I wanted to post this before but have been very busy. We had purchased some lead testing kits at Lowe's to test our toys to make sure they did not have lead paint on them. (none of the toys are positive for lead yet) On the package it stated that you could test your tub/tile. We decided to swipe our tub and found it to turn pink/red IMMEDIATELY! Yes, we had been bathing our beautiful 13 year old daughter with autism in this tub. We had moved here 2 years ago and knew that buying a 45 year old house (at the time) could have lead paint but didn't initially suspect the tub. Now, friday we went for bloodwork with our physician and she ordered lead testing. Have any of you had this done? Have you had it return positive? If it comes back negative, would you have the doctor order other tests? My is always putting things in her mouth, while in the tub. She is always drinking the water in the tub. I am concerned. I want to do all I can to help my child as everyone here does. If privacy is an issue, please email me off the group. Thanks so much in advance! Shanna ('s mom) ps. The tub is scheduled to be removed soon. We will not be breaking it apart, it will come out whole.
