Guest guest
Just a comment on the friends topic, not to minimize the issue just sharing our experience with friends: I understand your pain at your child pushing away the one friend left, we have dealt with this from another angle. I wish my 13yr ds had some good friends. He has been the victim of much bullying for last 4 years. I've shared about this long ago. We are going to homeschool him next year (he doesn't know this yet). We need to get him away from these kids and help him build up some self esteem again. We are going to try to open enroll him into an extremely small school 30 miles away for some extra curricular stuff like band and sports. (There are only 6 kids in that grade (8th grade in the fall). Only problem is...our school here co-ops with this other school for some sports...so he will still have to deal with them sometimes. Hope you find a way to help your kids hold onto the friends they do have. My ds and I are extroverts...we love people and need friends! Becky in N.D.
