Guest guest
Hi everyone, My 7 yo was recently officially dx'd w/aspergers, phobias and ADHD. He is quirky and is def. suffering from the effects of an anxiety disorder BUT he does not have ADHD (the neurologist we saw yesterday saw absolutely NO evidence of ADHD)...it seems as though ADHD is always thrown in for effect? Anyway, I posted here awhile ago about feeding disorders which are probably amongst our biggest concerns. Well, we found (just yesterday) probably the best person for our needs and I am ecstatic....I can't find words! She mentioned that while she is not recommending that we jump straight to medications, she wants us to consider the possibility of using Imiprominal/tofranil in the future to reduce anxiety for 6 mos-1 yr. I've googled and don't like what I've read BUT I am at this point open-minded...I guess any drugs used for anxiety/depression related disorders are going to have some pretty scary potential side-effects? Can anyone tell me about the use of tofranil? For better or worse? Thank-you so much! Please feel free to email me if you'd prefer!
