I just joined today. I joined this group because I need some help. I feel like

pulling my hair out some days. I have a seven year old son and a two(next month)

year old daughter. I believe both of them have OCD. My son has always had some

strange quirks about him but I didn't think that much about it as I have some

strange quirks about me as well. The begining of this year my son was diagnosed

with ODD and ADHD. He is on meds for this and it helps. This past weekend he was

folding his clothes and they had to be perfect ie. the corner of the shirt had

to be lined up and touching and if they didn't he would refold it. He spent

about an hour folding ten pieces of clothing. He then took one of two stacks of

clothes to his room to put away. After about 30 mins he still had not come out

of his room to get the other stack so I went to his room to check on him. To my

surprise he had taken ALL of the clothes out of his dresser and was refolding

and and restacking everything. I asked him what he was doing and he replied

with, " I don't know how my dresser got messy but it did so I am rearranging it. "

Then two days later we had a PTO meeting at his school and His teacher told me

that he is having a problem finishing his work. She explained to me that he

worked on one word for five mins. He was erasing and rewriting everything

becauce it wasn't perfect to him. She said she told him that his work was great

and that he writes better than she does sometimes and that still was not good

enough for him.

I am sorry this is so long but I wanted to give the full picture of my

situation.

Is this OCD and should I get him help from his Therapist for this issue?
