I have to agree with those here in this list about those you do

know. My daughter was 1 1/2 years old when I met my husband, and I

spent at least 2 years sneaking around corners, coming home

unexpectedly and listening over the intercom to make sure that he was

trustworthy. I wanted to believe that he was, but I couldn't make

myself trust wholly, even though I loved him very much. I don't

regret being so careful, because now I can trust him with my whole

heart, and I know that if anything happened to me, he would

raise " our " daughter well, and she will be safe. If I had never

taken the time to be sure, I would always wonder.

Taking time to build trust does not mean that you love a person

any less. When God gives us children, he gives us a job to do, and

it's our responsibilty to do it the best we can, and to put that job

at the top of our list.
