Guest guest
, My son has had a diagnosis of OCD for several years and it has not affected my insurance rates at all. I have BCBS. In any case I think it is a law now that insurances cannot limit mental health visits as they have in the past, and OCD is classified as a mental health disorder. Unfortunately, you are emotionally vulnerable right now, grieving for your sons, and you will be given a lot of false info based on speculation, misinformation and ignorance. Be heartened by the fact that there is a lot of help for you out there but it will take your work and effort to find it for them. This group is a great place to start. You will get a lot of support here and advice. Starting at Duke is a great way. The children must first be diagnosed properly in order for you to move forward. Best of luck, Terry in RI
