Guest guest
My son, 7, who we were trying to withdraw from risperdal was SO agitated to day I called the nurse and ended up giving him his 4pm dose again thinking he would be better-HA! We went to a park party and he had the worst meltdown he has had in months-or years. He became enraged because he wanted to answer a question and win something (they ahd a local DJ giving away things) and he wasn't called on. So we left right away-but all the way to the car he hit, kicked , tried to bite me and even was going to attacka girl who was " looking " at him ( he was screaming-what does he expect?)! All the while there are police everywhere and everyoneis watching him attack me. I thought he was going to the hospital for sure. He is now watchingn TV. I took away his priviledge of playing with his friend for the day and he was in his room for awhile when we got home. I didn't yesll or hit or react while he was doing all this yet he still did it. Is it too soon for his second dose to take effect-it did help the agitation. I am so desperate for answers. Cannot talk to the doc-only the nurse-and siince they think I am the problem it is hard even getting help. Is it too soon for the risperdal to be helping him again?
