Guest guest
It's nice that you would like to have young people come and learn how to milk and become healtier and be introduced to the traditional lifestyle. I am 16 and the whole idea of this is very exciting to me! Happy Winter!! Sznaider
Guest guest
*Hi Maura and Welcome to the group,* *I am sorry you have reason to be here but I am glad you found us. It is a feeling that is hard to describe when you find a place like this with people who know exactly what you are experiencing.* ** *Your story is very similar to many of ours. I too, have been battling this since childhood--remember back to about 3 or 4 the pain in my knees and my left side. I was first diagnosed with this when I was 12 after seeing a long list of Drs who had no answers.* ** *You Wrote:* I'm happy and grateful to say that I've been in " remission " for about 15 years, and most of the worst of my illness occurred in my elementary school years and in my early to late 20s. I've taken NSAIDs on and off, and my last visit to a rheumatologist was in the early 90s. *This is true with me too. Yet, I was only treated with coated aspirin that helped me achieve a remission that lasted about 15 yrs. But even though I was in a remission, I see when looking back that I that this dragon was attacking in a more " silent " mode. I have spoke to too many adults who had this when children to agree with the notion that it is out grown, to never be bothered with it again. My cousin, who was diagnosed when she was 5, is still bothered by Still's--and her case is playing hid and seek with her Dr. too but he knows it is there.* ** *You Wrote:* I'm beginning to make stuff up, like this all started when I quit the Plaquenil, but I don't know enough about my own illness to even guess. *Maybe the Plaquenil was actually keeping the dragon under some control and when it was stopped, the Dragon leashed out in an angry way? It was helping even though you weren't aware of it. Funny, how we can be our own worse enemy. I have done stuff like this myself. I have stopped medication before thinking it wasn't helping a thing to only find out it was.--Just a thought. * ** *I'm sure the others will be sending you better info. than I can. I am rather new here myself--a little over a month now, I think. And as you will find out, many here are very helpful, and the great thing about this group, we all understand and this does mean so much.* ** *Welcome again and I'm looking forward to getting to know you. You are not alone with this anymore.* ** *, Oregon* > > Hi there. My name is Maura, and I currently live in Fort Worth, > Texas.
