Asynchronousity/Re: OCD and maturity

I have had very similar experience with my son. He is not labeled as gifted, but

from a very young age he had the insight of soemone much older. He would explore

and question very deep concepts that many adults don't even Deal with. He would

question the meaning of the world and why bad things happen. Wondering why god

put us here is we just die anyway. I can go on and on but this started when he

first bece verbal and has expanded as he has gotten older. Je looks at ways he

can change te world to make it a better place while his friends are thinking

about video games, etc... That being said, when he is most anxious and losing it

he can revert to a very childlike state - whining, very needy, unable to handle

simple directions. It is like a whole different child. This can make it hard

to understand and have patience for when intervening in a crisis. That's my

input!!
