Ode To My Special Raccoons

You come to my house late at night

For a little midnight bite

You come to me early in the morning

When the rest of the household is snoring

Your eyes are filled with wonder and joy

Your offspring resemble a cute and cuddly stuffed

toy

Your striped fur is majestic and awesome

So soft and cuddly like a brand new baby’s bottom

I forever yearn to constantly pet you

You have ways of keeping me from being blue

Mankind had treated you badly over the years

It is best that you stick and remain with your

fellow peers

Please learn to trust me from the bottom of your

heart

I will protect you forever – we will never be

apart

If you’re in trouble of any kind

I’ll help you out of your tight bind

I love you lots – oh don’t you see?

I want you always to remain near me.

Raccoon, you are a noble creature

I don’t want you to lose that special feature!
