Thanks taijij...I have to figure out how to get her tested we don't have

insurance right now...but I think I need to make it a priority..

i know you said that her school doesn't report any difficulties there but I

would still approach them for evaluation. If you request it I believe they have

to comply. My daughter was the perfect angel at school and they couldn't

believe what happened at home. My prayers are with you.

in Ohio we have of a program called of BCMH which is a funded

evaluation for those under diagnostics for children. soem childrens

hospitals have of this as well as some speicalized clinics. Maybe you

state has of this too?

Carol I to believe kelly stated her school DOES see this same behavior

from her at school so this should be a good start for evalauations if

the school is of good at understand to higher levels of spectrum and

how it might be to present differently in girls.

I am not sure about the laws every where but here in NY the school has

to system has to pay for the testing. Insurance sometimes pays too.

My son's (he is considered typical) test was covered 80% by his

insurance and then the school paid the insurance. I would seriously

look into calling your school district's special ed office and

demanding testing and or the school's psych.

every where but here in NY the school has

to system has to pay for the testing. Insurance sometimes pays too.

My son's (he is considered typical) test was covered 80% by his

insurance and then the school paid the insurance. I would seriously

look into calling your school district's special ed office and

demanding testing and or the school's psych.

good luck. Do a little research before you go. Then you will have

your answers before you go. Some schools do not want to test, it does

something to their funding and it is costly to educate these children.
