Guest guest
Hi Sondra, I tried these detox pads from an online place. I had never seen commercials for them, but I researched detoxing and found some. They were a resonable price, so I ordered a sample pack with 10 foot pads. They worked very well on me and took a lot of my foot pain away, but they did nothing for my husband. They never even turned black like they are supposed to. In the morning they were still dry and white just like when we put them on him. I could justify spending more money on me at the time, as he was in the hospital when I tried them, but I am thinking of getting some more for me. Guest guest
so the TV one is of maybe more a hoak like things then offering real benefit. this is what my brain was of thinking too and so wanted to ask of hte families here of their experiences with it. this is of also why it is of so frustrating to grasp the right approach when somany hoaky things model as if htey are the right approach to go. this is why i to hesitate so much in my own care for health reasons. tommorow I to go and will be of seen my my rheumotolgoy doctor and hope he willhave more clarifying answers as each time I to see of him he changes hims mind over what he is of thinking. the last time he to shared he felt it is of possible for me to be of having both fibromyalgia and Lupus , so not knowing anythings of it in real yet. But the sojogrens is under control as far as the eye tearing with the restatis? for the eyes, but the skin dry and itchy is still an issues even after oil baths and lotions. I to over all have of good days and bad days. this week has not been to bad as far as the pain levels. Sondra

Guest guest
Sondra, my nephew had the exact same thing. My sister took him to Children's hospital of Philadelphia. Here is a link http://www.rheumatology.org/public/factsheets/arth_in_children.asp#1 Can you share to me what you think might be to cause of my grand baby who is just to be now 2 to be for much of a year or so have these odd high fever things and when to go to the doctors shows no signs of infections and yet every month for no reasons she just begins of the fussy behaviors, then refuses to eat, then runs of the high fevers and they last for a few days and then goes away to only return next month? Each time we take of her to a medical person or ER it shared to be of a virus, but do babies get a virus every month such as this. she can be of fevers from 101-105 each time? do you have any ideas if this is of normal and if not what things this can be or if any here has been to experience this with thier childrens? Guest guest
Does this also bring on a rash? My daughter gets fevers about every month or so and always has a rash on her back and belly with it. Sometimes it is a light rash and other times it is 5 or 6 bigger red dots..

Guest guest
this last time she did have of a rash and we were of fearful it was of hte measles but it was not they felt it might be of roseola at the time? But other times such as now not a rash but she acts as though her skin and body hurts and this time is of holding her mouth at times in way that maybe she has of some canker sores in there. I to worry as you all to know of this in regards to my grandbaby too much. Sondra
Guest guest
Sondra, Is there any other symptom that you can identify which comes along with the fevers? Can she communicate if there is pain anywhere? Her throat? Anything other than the fussiness and lost of appetite? There is a syndrome that is fairly common called PFAPA Syndrome, which stands for Periodic Fever, Aphthous stomatitis, Pharyngitis, Cervical Adenitis. There are also many infectious agents (not viruses) which can cause these recurrent fevers. I would see an infectious disease specialist and a rheumatologist to start. Hoping you get some answers soon. > Can you share to me what you think might be to cause of my grand baby > who is just to be now 2 to be for much of a year or so have these odd > high fever things and when to go to the doctors shows no signs of > infections and yet every month for no reasons she just begins of the > fussy behaviors, then refuses to eat, then runs of the high fevers and > they last for a few days and then goes away to only return next month? > Each time we take of her to a medical person or ER it shared to be > of a > virus, but do babies get a virus every month such as this. she can be > of fevers from 101-105 each time? do you have any ideas if this is of > normal and if not what things this can be or if any here has been to > experience this with thier childrens? > Sondra > > > ------------------------------------ > > Autism_in_Girls-subscribe > ------------------------ > Autism_in_Girls-unsubscribe@...! Guest guest
she is very verbal but cannot be to communicate of pains to us yet. She is of also using much odd ways to use language and so I to shared of my concerns to a very knowing Speech person and she assures me this is of tyical for some at her age to do but she does say things like " do you want a drink? " if she wants a drink. she does do some reversals and things of this when speaking and does the same gestures and things as sripts she uses over and over but if we try to model for example " Laney wants a drink please " of I want of a drink " she refuses to repeat or say it .... she then resorts to just pointing and saying, " THIS " she dos also like to line up the cans out of the pantry to count them in her lined up fashions this is much autistic like and when one touches the pattern of lined up cans she rages into a tantrum of scremas and kicking the air and throwing self backward to tears.... but yet she relates, engages others, socially plays and interacts, shares, shows gestures of concern and care to a peer or us if she thinks we are of sad or things, she seems to be so much advanced at times and other times she has some shadowing of the syndrome so it is of hard for me at times to know if what i to see if o things to be of concern too or just typical development so I to consult much the Nisonger staff which are of good friends to me in her . so far she is of considered typical and advanced in her language, social and over all knowings but is of delayed in the fine motor areas. About the things you shared I to plan to do some more research on this and suggest to my Aimee to begin to start documenting her symptoms and take of her temperature daily to see if we can see a pattern or to devleop a base line of the symptoms for the medical to begin to see what we are of seeing in her as far as fevers and things. we also have not vaccinated her outside of her first 3 DTAP's and the prevnar one injection of that. But as I to shared last month she had of the rash and the ER shared roseloa? spelling, and now this month acting as though she has of some cankers in her mouth too along with the body aches and pains and I ot know she is of in the pains by her ways of tears tome and others and she seems as though her whole body just hurts. Guest guest
Sondra, have you tried keeping a food journal? My first thought is perhaps she has food allergies that are causing her problems. Rashes are not uncommon with it. Would celiac cause fevers? Also, have you had her teeth checked for any cavities? I'm assuming she's probably getting her 2 yr molars in the back of her mouth, seems like my oldest when through a sickly period during that time, too. Just brainstorming, Debi
Guest guest
Hi Sondra, I have not yet had time to read others comments and postings. However, my daughter had something very similar and after a week at the hospital and her having these types of fevers and them not being able to determine any problems with her, they began looking into something called P fapa. I am not entirely sure what that means or stands for, but it was something where kids and young teens (typically) get a reaccuring fever about once a month for no apparent reason. I have no idea what causes it and it seems to be some sort of autoimmune problem. They finally determined that had that P fapa thing, when she was 2.5 years old. They sent me home with liquid Steroids and said that it was a very rare problem that not a large percentage of people have. The head children's doctor from a big hospital in the Portland, OR area for children was calling on a weekly basis for months to check up on . But after a month and a half and her not getting the fever again, the doctors told me to just call them when the fever arose again. At that same time however, we were having her see a gastroenterologist (because my husband has Crohn's Disease and it seemed that her flares and cycles of feverishness always seemed to coinside with her daddy's Crohn's flares. They determined after testing and stool samples and such that she did in fact have an intestinal problem not the P fapa. Going to Early intervention seemed to be stressing her out and making her flare up. So we pulled her out of Early intervention and within a week she was fine and has not had a flare up or episode now in two years. I now homeschool instead. She is doing great now and has only had one slight fever since, which was at the same time that we all had one. So I think that for her it was tummy issues, which is very hard to determine at such a young age. But as long as we stay of of wheat, milk, soy, and rice milk. She is fine. She eats spelt flour products, 100% juices, peanut butter, honey (only) for a sweetner, fruit, and really not much else. But she is doing great and has been developing much better. I do slip Fish oil into her juice or apple sauce though and she eats gummi vitamins. My guess from what you are saying, would be to ask your doctor to pursue one of these areas the P fapa or the intestinal issues in trying to diagnose. The only other idea I have is allergies, because I have gotten very high fevers before when I am around dogs or cats too long, both of which I am very allergic too. Especially one time that I spent the night with a friend who had a cat and I got a cat hair in my mouth. I got seriousely ill and even brushing my teeth and drinking water missed the hair. It was down between my gums and my cheek and I never felt it or saw it for two days. I got very sick and was on every type of allergy medicine out their. I nearly scratched my neck and mouth apart, before I finally found the culprit. Good luck! Guest guest
Sondra, Roseola is a very common virus caused by HHV 6 or 7 (human herpes virus) and is generally not serious, although fevers can climb pretty high, but they often do in small children. Once it has run its course, then the child has lifetime immunity to the virus, so it should not recur. This periodic fever suggest something else, especially in light of the pain. > But as I to shared last month she had of the rash and the ER shared > roseloa? spelling, and now this month acting as though she has of > some cankers in her mouth too along with the body aches and pains and > I ot know she is of in the pains by her ways of tears tome and others > and she seems as though her whole body just hurts. > > Sondra
