Guest guest
Hi Shirley and welcome!=) Dixon Ozark Jewels Boers, Nubians, Lamanchas and Alpines http://www.freewebs.com/ozarkjewels/ > > I have just joined the list and would like to introduce myself. > My daughter, Bess, and myself (Shirley), live in the SW corner of Missouri. We have a small herd of dairy does that provides milk for us , the kids we raise, maybe a hog or two or four, sometimes chickens or a calf. > I have long been an advocate of raw milk. In the area where I was born there was a Grade AA raw milk dairy that delivered milk to our door in town. When we moved to the country, we still bought raw milk. Up until I married and within 2 months of delivery of my daughter I always had raw milk. Then the dairy decided to go bulk and quit selling raw milk. When my daughter was born she had an allergy to milk. As long as I nursed my daughter I could drink or eat no milk in any form. My midwife said this had happened to all the ladies that were drinking raw milk and had had to switch to pastuerized milk during their pregnancy. It took 8 years before my daughter could tolerate milk or milk products. > > Shirley > Nimbus Dairy Goats >
