Dear Tony, We have another training coming up in the Seattle- Tacoma area, at Washington State University - Puyallup. This class will be held September 11-13, 2006. Once again we are fortunate to have among our instructors the original developers of the WUFI software and the foremost expert in energy-efficient (cool) roofs.We currently have 11 spaces reserved, but can take 30 students. Please pass this e- mail on to any of your colleagues who may be interested. This workshop is co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) through Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in collaboration with the Fraunhofer-Institut fur Bauphysik (IBP) and co-sponsored by the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) and its Building Enclosure and Technology Environment Council (BETEC), the Building Enclosure Council (BEC) of Seattle, Washington State University, and National Building Science Corporation (NBSC).

WUFI/ORNL Computer Modeling Workshop - Seattle-Tacoma (Puyallup)

The course consists of 21 hours of classroom time, using WUFI/ORNL-IBP modeling software provided free by the U.S. Department of Energy to each student, who will use it on their laptop during class. Join us if you are ready to learn the next generation of building science.For further information, click on the "WUFI- Seattle-Brochure-Registration" link in the "Quick Links" box to the left, to download a brochure with the curriculum and a registration form.WUFI Series software provides the realistic simulation of the transient hygrothermal behavior of multi-layer building walls exposed to natural weather.This family of software offers an easy and user- friendly interface for data input and output and is free of charge. WUFI ORNL/IBP comes complete with weather data for scores of North American cities which can be easily selected from a map.The class is limited to 30, and it is on a first-come, first-served basis, as always.
