A use for ozone...?

Peeps, Just heard from my client with the bacteria problem today. She has a 2nd AC system in a new extension which up to now has worked fine and has provided a refuge for her from the health effects in the rest of the house. However, she thinks she's starting to experience the same symptoms in this part of the house now also... We have a plan in place to deal with the coils and drainpans (replace) and the whole house will be HEPA vac'd. Even the plants will be repotted in sterile soil. However, we're not sure on what to do with the AC system ducts. The flexible ducts are less than a year old and the metal ductwork is recently cleaned. So its all "clean" and doesnt need replaced. What we want to do is make sure that any of the bacteria, that we know is blowing off the coil and surely is depositing in the ducts, is dead and incapabale of recolonising the coil. But how to do this...? Do

y'all think that ozone would work to disinfect the ducts? We cant use ClO2 as the client is sensitive to chlorine. Same for other chemicals. I know all the limitations and risks assoc with ozone but with treating the ventilation system like this we have a closed system we can control and vent. And we only want surface treatment. We dont require penetration. Im interested in your opinions people. Thanks. Stuart McCallum
