Guest guest
If you have those opportunities, take advantage of all you can. When I reached the point that I couldn't use a pencil or pen, I was told I couldn't use a computer to do my work, I couldn't use the access ramp to the office, and then was laid off because " everybody has arthritis " . This was in 1991 when the ADA had no teeth and the corporate world had no heart. After the 20 years I gave them, I'll get less than $300 per month retirement pay. I wish I had these opportunities back then. Dennis in Eastexas " It's not Rocket Surgery " [ ] Re: At my wits end! I need help.... > Thanks , this helps a lot. Guest guest
That's funny because ice is exactly what I was going to suggest. It works great for me. But, yeah it would be hard to do while typing! in Texas " Mrs. Castro " <chocolatewookie@...> wrote: I am leaning more toward working from home until I start whatever medication they prescribe me and give it time to take effect. It will help some, I believe. The knuckles and wrist of my right hand started swelling today, and I know all the typing and calculator use are not helping at all! Does anyone have suggestions to help the swelling/pain while I'm at work? I don't think I can type with a bag of ice taped to my hand! Thanks > I am currently at work (desk job in transportation).
