Guest guest
What you wrote makes me think of human milk. I am a breastfeeding support person and I recently put on a conference featuring a breastfeeding researcher, Dr. Hartmann. A lot of his research began with studying dairy cows. He presented a session at our conference on mastitis. Long story short is.. that when human mothers have mastitis.. it is not recommended that they wean, or pasteurize their milk... even mothers that have visible pus coming from a breast are still encouraged to nurse their baby. Their are antibodies in the milk that fight off the bacteria present in the infected milk duct's milk. Human Breastmilk is used for many healing reasons.. such as it can be put into an infected eye or pink eye. In fact, two years ago, my husband had an ulcerated eye, when it first occurred we thought it was pink eye and I put bmilk in it over the weekend, on Monday morning we found out it was an ulceration and the ophthalmologist told my husband I probably saved his vision by doing that! It is used to treat ear infections and can be put up baby's nose for a stuffy nose or sinus infection. It can be put onto cuts and scrapes to fight off any invaders there... many, many uses. Even in researching breastfeeding and HIV, they have found that the Breastmilk fought off the HIV virus. The power of raw milk is amazing.. whether it be human or cow! All of this information aside.... people on both sides of this argument feel strongly about their position. I look at it like this... we are all trying to do just what we feel is best for ourselves, and our families.. we just have differing opinions. Obviously we are all passionate people, or we probably would not be doing all that we are doing by milking our own cows... Just my $0.02 worth.
