Validity of Breathing Walls?

I was reading about these " breathing walls " on the website of a

company i the UK:

http://www.environmental-building.co.uk/breathing_buildings.shtml

One of their claims follows:

" Airborne particulate pollution from vehicle exhausts and other

sources is filtered from the ventilation air as it flows through an

EBP breathing wall panel. Trials around lebone Road London, one

of Europe's most polluted streets, provided confirmation of the

system's exceptional ability to remove airborne particulate matter

(PM10). This is as effective as a conventional HEPA filter, but the

important distinction is that breathing walls can be made to last

the life of the building. "

Does anyone have any experience with these walls? Is it really

possible that a wall that acts like a filter can " ...be made to last

the life of the building. " ?? Would it not fill up with the very

particulates it is trapping?

Any other info or opinion on this topic is appreciated. If this is

a feasible technology I would like to investigate it further.

Thanks,
