Guest guest
Hello to all Members, My name is Mayes-Cleckler and I live in rural Elmore, Elmore County Alabama. My e-mail is Grandmagoat4@.... I am new to raw dairy products. My interest is for health reasons for my husband () who is a Type II diabetic and for my self. I have Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, myofacial pain syndrome, asthma, COPD, osteoarthritis, selective immunodeficency syndrome (NOT HIV OR HERPIES!)which is from the fybromyagia and I have just been tested for systemic lupus. I don't know the results yet. I am not looking for a miracle cure but raw dairy has to be healthier that the products we have consumed in the past. We are currently switching to all organic produce and meat when available also. No more packaged and boxed products for us. A good friend of mine was treated for fibromyalgia for years with no positive result until another friend asked if she used products with aspertame in them. She did. The friend suggested she elimminate those products from her diet. She did so and all her symptoms disapeared. Come to find out she was suffewring from aspertame poisoning!! It is my understanding that it is illegal to sell raw dairy products in Alabama but not to consume them from your own animals. However, Mississippi can sell raw dairy if picked up at the farm. We have no animals of our own yet. The plan is to buy sufficient land to support a jersey milk cow and a few nubian dairy goats, chickens and perhaps a pig or too so we can have our own organic meat, eggs etc. Also a house for us to live in in the next 2-3 years. I am very excited about this. We have found a farmer's market in Birmingham that sell organic produce from small farmers from May - October. I am very excited to be able to converse with others who already know of the benefits of natural, organic foods and healthy living styles. I look forward to being a part of this group and learning and sharing knowledge. I learned of this group from a cheesemaking group that I belong to. They also introduced me to the Weston A Price Foundation whose web site I found intriguing. I also am learing artisan cheese making from raw milk (or any milk actually as raw may be used in any recipe). Please let me know if further information is required. __________________________________________________
