There may not be a THE cause. Individual biochemistry

mitigates against a one concept cause. Most modern

medicine is based on the canard that all human bodies

are the same. Nothing could be further from the truth.

But until the aluminum issue is resolved it would seem

wise to stay away from unneeded exposure to some types

of aluminum.

Population studies have linked alzheimers to aluminum

levels in water. Aluminum has been shown to produce

brain degeneration in animals that is similar to

alzheimers. Aluminum is often found in senile plaques

in patients with alzheimers. Aluminum-fluoride and

sodium-fluoride have been found to cause brain damage

in rats. Perhaps fluoride is a co factor. Whatever the

cause, it is clear that the US has far more cases of

alzheiemrs than any other country in the world so I

suspect the cause or causes are an environmental

toxin. In the US we are exposed to hundreds of

chemicals daily that have never been evaluated for

toxic effects in humans. We lead the world in chemical

exposures.

Neither western medicine nor western science are

generally interested in attributing medical problems

to any commercially popular substance, chemical or

otherwise, so there are few studies in those areas. I

expect that the medical community will eventually

conclude that an unknown virus causes alzheimers

because that is always the response of the medical

community when they have no idea what is going on.

But for someone who already has alzheimers, the cause

may no longer be relevant. Reversing the problem is

not likley to be as simple as removing a toxic

substance.

Good luck with your search.

I agree with what you say and you have said it very well. This is not some

kind of Conspiracy Theory, it's been known for at least 20 years.

If someone already has Alzheimers, there would be more reason to use

stainless steel or porcelain coated cast iron because why add to the problem

if you are giving or taking meds to help reverse it?

Never said it would be unwise to NOT stay away from it. (Does that qualify for a triple negative sentence? *blink blink*) In other words, never advised cozying up to it. And yes, that was my point, it may NOT be THE CAUSE, so let's not couch it thusly. That's terribly misleading. Thanks. :) Thousands of studies have linked thousands of things - it still doesn't make them the CAUSE. Sharon, NH
